About Think Happier Thoughts & CalipatCats

For more than a decade, I’ve poured my heart, time, and resources into one mission: helping the cats of Calipatria. What began as a small personal effort has grown into CalipatCats, a local initiative focused on trapping, neutering, fostering, and caring for the cats who call our town home.

From Late Nights to a Lifelong Cause

In the beginning, I balanced a full-time job by day and spent my nights feeding, trapping, and caring for stray and community cats right here in Calipatria. The desert heat, long hours, and exhaustion never stopped me—because I saw the difference one person could make.

Along the way, I dreamed of creating a small T-shirt business to help offset the growing costs of rescue work. That dream became the seed for Think Happier Thoughts, a brand that blends compassion with creativity.

Building CalipatCats

Over time, the effort grew into a small but determined network of volunteers who helped trap, transport, and foster cats. With limited local resources—only one veterinarian in the entire valley willing to perform low-cost spay/neuter procedures—every effort mattered.

Together, we’ve helped hundreds of cats find safety and care. The people of Calipatria have big hearts—they feed and look out for the community cats—but the cost of fixing them can be difficult to manage. That’s where CalipatCats steps in.

A Labor of Love

This has never been easy work. It’s emotional, time-consuming, and often expensive—but it’s done out of love. For over 11 years, I’ve remained dedicated to helping the cats of Calipatria live safer, healthier lives.

Through Think Happier Thoughts, a small portion of every sale goes toward CalipatCats’ ongoing spay/neuter and foster care efforts. Your purchase helps continue the work that began over a decade ago—supporting a cause built on compassion, community, and hope.

When you wear our designs, you share in that mission—helping create a happier world, one cat (and one kind thought) at a time.
